so i am at work and talking to another officer who had class earlier today, and he was telling me there was a very heated discussion about the confederate flag today.. there was one guy from the south trying to defend it and everyone else against him... him and i started to talk about it and i said i dont see it as racism.. but he does (he is african american)... i said just because you see a lifted truck flying one doesnt automatically make the driver a racist..he said it is what it stands for... i am just curious what others thought and so is he... do you see it as a symbol of racism? southern pride? or looks cool on you jeep with big mud tires?

Please, people flying or depicting the Confederate flag are simply displaying their heritage (if from the south. anyone displaying it from the north I'll agree is probably just a redneck who thinks it's cool). It has absoultely nothing to do with racism. If some guy from Canada had a maple leaf avatar do you automatically assume he's racist? Of course not.
