So, as my first post ill start a debate. Im looking at either picking up the glock 23, or a xd .40 w/ 4" barrel. lets hear the pros/cons of each. Ill start you off

Saftey- XD has both trigger saftey AND palm/grip saftey. 23 has only trigger
firepower - essentially the same
cost - xd beats the 23 no matter how you slice it
reliability - SA is a proven brand, but a glock is a glock
lets keep it going...

I carry my Kahr PM40 or my XD .40 (but usually not both), some Hornady Tap, spare mag, 4 D cell mag lite, 24" breaker bar, knife, tool box, and a pretty comprehensive jump kit.

::SELLING HALF OF MY JEEP::

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f33/?uid=152304

Rear Currie 4" coils - 190 shipped. (They've been sitting in the back of my Jeep for mock up but won't work out for me.)

Hornblasters Shocker S4 horn set with some extras $210 shipped. (It is not OBA, just an accessory for OBA)

"LCOG" isn't cheap and it certainly isn't easy. If you think so, you are doing it wrong. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, don't label your build "LCOG". You are just a cheap ******bag.

IndyORV- Dick and fart jokes, titties, throttle, flops, beer, tater balls, and good times.

also carry a 20 ga. shotty with bird shot, mostly for rabbits or grouse. used to carry a police issue beretta 9mm. i miss that thing, too bad dad sold it when i was at basic

im not old enough to get my concealed permit, but i carry a baseball bat, 3D cell mag light, and a knife. If it really gets crazy I could rig up some kind of flame thrower with my zippo and extra lighter fluid haha.

I carry my Taurus PT140 .40 cal with one full magazine of personal defense rounds. Yes, I do have a concealed carry permit.

When out in the boonies I always have at least my Springfield 1911A1 with me, and I usually have at least my AR15 or Mossberg 590A1 too.

Didn't you guys ever see "Deliverance"? It doesn't matter if I am in a canoe or a Jeep, when I am out in the woods I bring protection!!

lololol

As for me, I carry my Glock 27 on me most places I go anyway (I just recently got my concealed handgun license), and depending on where I'm going I might bring along a Sig Mosquito .22 for plinking or my Glock 22 for blowing bigger stuff up or maybe my Yildiz 12 ga. over-under if there may be birds on the wing that are allowed to be shot.
