Thats the wrong place to go to get info on how to do something legally. Especially when it comes to anything gun related. Its to easy to inject personal opinion as fact. Some cops here will tell you that open carry is illegal and you will be shot or put face down for doing it, when in reality the cops, state wide, were just retrained in their 2009 annual MPOETC training that it is infact legal, and there is nothing they can do. Not even a terry stop unless they see the actor in the commision of a crime.

Long story short, find a state specific firearm associasion online and start there. Or start at OpenCarry.org - A Right Unexercised is a Right Lost!, thehighroad.org, glocktalk.com etc. They are national boards, but if poke around you will find links to your home state. The state boards are usually the ones that have the low down on teh state laws, both with case law, and statute citations. Good luck, stay safe.

After I watched the Wrong Turn series of movies, I started carrying while camping.
Not so much while wheeling, but I have. In the movies, basically campers run into inbred cannibal red necks. Blah blah, go watch em'.

My weapon of choice is the Remington 870 tactical, with about 100 rounds stashed under the seat of the XJ.

Since I'm not 21, I can't carry or purchase handguns. So, I stick with the shotgun and slug or buckshot rounds.

I live in TEXAS where us rednecks can pretty much carry whatever we want and I also have a CHL so I can carry on my person. When out wheeling i normaly carry my AR-15 in my custom overhead rack above me for quick access to take out the everpresent wild hog on my property. I also carry my springfield xd45 on a daily basis for crackheads and carjackers.

Glock 20, with Double Tap 180gr hollow points. Benelli Super Nova, and a box of buckshot. I have a couple AR15's but never taken them with me. Perhaps I'm going to have to start once I get my new ACOG.

Just a baseball bat that I leave in the jeep. But not for hitting people... at least not yet.
