I just started using the old double edge razors myself again. I have a couple of my Dad's old Gillette shavers, one with an adjustable angle. They don't make em like that anymore.

At less than $2.00 for a pack of ten blades, they are way less expensive than the plastic disposable shavers.

I use disposables because of this shave gel http://www.baldguyz.com/
This stuff rocks. I use the 3 blade disposables from costco, they are just as sharp and you don't feel bad when you break it or lose the blade.

I don't shave, I look into the mirror at my beard & it retreats back into my skin in fear.

Gillette good news disposables with Barbasol shaving cream. Same things my dad used to use before he passed. Makes me feel closer to him

All this talk just made me order an old styled safety razor and a badger hair brush. Now I just need to pick up some decent shaving soap and I'll have it made. I've been using a bottom shelf soap and brush lately and have been wanting to upgrade.

I hate shaving, when I get out or retire I'm growing a Kimbo Slice beard.

I use my fathers old straight razor or my favorite single edge razor. Both work great and have been shaving generations of my family.

I have tried all kinds of electric razors and they don't really work on a heavy beard. They all get ridiculously hot while shaving. That, and I have to replace the blade twice as often as is "recommended" by the manufacturer. It is cheaper to use disposables. For the price of a new electric, you can shave for a year with disposables. Take into account that I have to change my blades every month and I would be able to shave for two years. I would love to find a good electric razor, but I fear that it will never happen.

usually i jus use the electric clippers with no guard. gives me a nice 5 o clock shadow quick and easy. but when i do shave. mach 3 turbo with a bader hair brush and nice soap in a mug. i boil a teakettle of water. pour some on the sink and some in a bowl. warm the brush and make a nice hot lather. and go for it nothing like a hot shave with old school mug and soap and a modern mach 3.
