DING. I hate the thought of my guests bashing their knuckles on the plaster, but the thought of re-rolling or replacing the roll every 10 minutes makes me go against the grain on this one.

Let's see. He joined in '07 and keeps digging up threads from about then to respond to. I'm guessing he's still running a 14.4 modem and just now got past the login screen.

I voted and was thru reading the first page before I realized how old this thread was. I guess that's better than starting a new one!

Which ever way it ends up on the roller. I would prefer it from the front.
Sometimes it doesn't make it into the holder, just sit it on top of it.

A toilet paper pet-peeve I have is when the cardboard roll gets squished or "out of round" , and you get that annoying toilet paper rattle or chatter when unraveling some fresh paper to wipe...

This man speaks much wisdom. In my bathroom it is still on the shelf with my magazines. In the visitors bathroom it was paper out. Then we got grandkids. It is now paper to the back..

I rarely ever bump threads that are months old, but, not making a new thread for this. Scientific research proves over is the best way.

Oh, and I bunch.
