The Wave

ok so this has been bugging me for a while. every time i pass another wrangler or CJ or even a nicely modded xj i always make sure i wave. the only problem is that it is becoming more of a rare occurance that they will wave back. sometimes i can understand it, if they dont see me right away or something but a lot of times the other jeep doesnt pay any attention to it. i think that we need to really start to look out for other jeepers and make sure that we wave and smile at each other. after all, its a jeep thing......sorry i had to throw that in.

Awww. I think it's geographical or something. Cuz almost everyone here waves. I <3 it. I love it almost as much as I love this little waving guy...

Must be. Don't get me wrong I love Jeeps and the lifestyle, but I don't wave to complete strangers. Nor have I ever been waved at. Everyone in New England drives a Jeep; I would say less than 100 ever take them off road.

I'll wave at XJ's if their modded. I rarely get a wave back. But as someone else has stated, I'm waving at the jeep, not the driver.

I don't know about that. In HS we used to get all the 4x4's we could and take them up to soapstone mtn. in Somers or trails and such. Lot's of fun trails in CT.

In NJ any kind of hand motion is assumed to be someone giving the finger.

There certainly are indeed. I've actually been out there. I only live 5 minutes from Somers. The only problem is that rich snobby people greatly outnumber the amount of people who are cordial.

I think I belong in the south. I'm nice to just about everyone.

I'm not going to say I'm that snobby. But I am better than Enfield, Ellington, Suffield, and Longmeadow kids.

But I did take my old Plymouth Horizon up there and rally it pretty good! And the south isn't great, trust me. Just flat here in FL with no rocks. There are no good Italian restaurants or bakeries and the water sucks. I can't wait to go home for x-mas so I can go up to Springfield and get some good bread!

Try Dianas bakery on Pearl st in Enfield. They have some pretty mean baked goods. In general though Enfield sucks. Suffield and Somers are ten times better. Ellington and longmeadow aren't even on my radar.

Did you play lacrosse in Somers by any chance?
