warning: jeep fog lights being stolen.

my fog lights just got stolen tonight in the parking lot of a mall (garden state plaza for all you NJ people) while visiting my girlfriend. they just ripped them off my bumper. part of the driver's side light was still on the bumper meaning they just destroyed them and didn't care about reusing or anything. i didn't know they were gone until i got home because i thought they weren't working. looking to the brighter side, luckily the lights weren't expensive, they didn't loot my jeep or steal it for that matter so i guess it's not a total loss. anyone have any ideas to keep my next pair of fog lights on my jeep and out of the hands of kids with too much time on their hands?

Yeah the 007 Electric shock car security system like on the BMW in tomorrow never dies. I believe that should help you out some...

dude, if i could i'd have a system where i'd push a button and my jeep would be armored in an armadillo-like shell just like in the second batman movie. i'm glad i didn't buy k/c's like i wanted because i'd really be flipping out. the one's i had on my jeep were made by rally. cost me $40 for 2 lights, wiring and switch.

but....how awesome would it have been if you had cought them...ripping lights off the front of a jeep seems more for kicks than stealing a raido does...so i would exspect the light thing to happen again...sry about your raido tho

To claify things, what part of the light broke? was it the bolt that bolts it to the bumper?

Most people pay no mind to a car alarm going off. 20 years ago maybe they did. Moral is dont put expensive easily removed items on your jeep.

It was easy the bad part was when the retard got home and found out he had stolen TJ doors and needed YJ doors. Probably just threw them in the parts stack out behind his trailer, then went inside for a beer and to smack his wife around a bit.

Stay away from the GSP, it's become a hangout for "brothers" gangsta wannabes and other forms of lowlife.

it was the bottom part of the light housing where the screw bolt attaches to the housing. all i found on the bumper was part of the light housing and the bolt and screw to attach it.

i know, man. if it wasn't for my girl i wouldn't go there. i just worry about her with these "brothers" lurking around. plus mall suck-urity is just that.

Harbor freight tools sells KC daylighter knock-offs for $15 each. just might put those on and wait for the bait to catch some morons.
