Want to start travel blog or web page any ideas?

I am thinking about starting a travel/adventure blog. I'm planning on going to Colorado and New Mexico this summer. Planning routes, putting together gear and equipment, getting Isuzu Trooper ready (77' CJ5 might not be up to long trip from Illinois yet). Is there a place in jeepfourm to do a blog like this or is there a better to use a site like expeditionportal.com
Or should pay for a web page and do it there? Not that my travels will be such a big deal but it might be fun to discuss planning, preparing because that is a big part of the Journey.

I just use Blogger. It's easy and you can update it from the road.

do people really look a blogs on jeepfourm or should I do it as a thread. And would people not like it that I'm using a Trooper and not my jeep.

I just looked at the ExpeditionPortal site and it's pretty cool Honestly there are soooo many blogs out there you've really got to have something special for people to really notice it. That being said...what I find uninteresting, someone else may get a blast out of reading. I guess the key thing is it's just like publishing anything else in print. You have to figure out what you want to get out of it, what others may get from it, where you want it to go, what you want it to focus on, etc...

Hope that helps. Good luck and be sure to post a link to the blog when you get it started.
