Oh I mean Im not bashing the wrangler or sami in any way. they are sick. But why not armor them, or just take a damn hummer or tank, or f350 or something like that. And go to a gun store lol.

Why on earth would you drive a YJ without a top or doors?

Seriously.

i think the reason they didnt take the tank is obvious, it runs on a rare fuel, and gets terrible mpg's. the crew prolly got infected when it ran out of gas. as for the hummers... idk. i don't know much about how military hummers work, but maybe no keys? or maybe they just have enough vehicles to carry everyone, and not enough gas to power another one. also someone said something about a gun store, don't you think the gun stores are the first places that would get looted and mobbed and become a giant buffet for the undead?

well the hummers run on diesel. There would be alot of semi's that they could siphon fuel out of. There were multiple hummers. If there weren't any keys they could hot wire them. or find the keys haha.

And when I said gun store I was being sarcastic. They could search houses, cars, that kind of thing. There were soldiers everywhere, that means guns littering the street.

They should search more lol

gotta look at it this way. i agree with yall but then again think about how much ammo could possibly be left in each gun. then you can argue that some soldiers must have some full mags on them.

it comes down to this. when the day comes the jeepforum will show how you really go about zombie apox

oh okay, yeah diesel would probably be less rare... and i noticed all the guns laying around too. like those .50s outside of the CDC. i know ammo would be scarce, but in a pinch I'm sure those would have a use. the soldiers probably have a lot of 9mm ammo on them too, and i think Shane was using a 9 earlier. not to mention grenades, and mre's and that kind of food.

Shane almost rapes Lori.
Gas runs out in generators, all but the black lady and the doctor escape the building. As they were leaving the doctor wispers something into Rick's ear.
Building explodes in a 6000 degree explosion with them outside within 1000 feet of explosion. Doesn't even break the windshield of the RV and nobody melts. Maybe it's 6000 degrees below zero?
They all head out in a caravan, I'm guessing to the Fort.

I'm thinking most of the guns laying around are empty as it was a target rich environment. The tanks or humvees may have been left running and are out of gas?
Plenty of diesel around I'm sure. Why didn't they just go get more for the generators?

Why not drive a semi with the trailer converted to living quarters and go find and stock up on food and ammo?

This is local to me and I'd go take it from whomever has it.....

It's gunna get about the same mileage as a Humvee and you could just run over the walkers.

Even a Brinks armored car? Has gun ports and pretty much invincible. Mount a chain gun on the hood.

What about the first scene of the first episode, where he has to kill that kid Zombie?
I would of thought we would made it back to that scene in the first season.....

Anyway, I think Jenner did whisper that his wife was pregnant. May not have told him who the father was, that will be up to the
Wife or the friend to bring up.

I am sure most guns and ammo were used in efending against walkers,
THey ran out of ammo and got eaten also.

Going to a Gun store is smart, bu the city folk probably already hit it up first. Most likely cleaned out by now.

I think that is a reason they started in a small town, didnt want to give them much.

I always thought of that as a feeler gauge for the show. It would let people know right from the start this was going to be violent. It basically said, we have to start out slow, but you'll be in for a treat.

The scene itself was a portion of his trip to Atlanta. Before he found the house with the horse.

I'm sure that is just out of sequence somewhere between when he left his hometown and when he got to Atlanta. I wouldn't doubt that he had to dispatch a few zombies between that period that wasn't shown.
