I will say this. I don't care what the race of the POTUS is. But black people who do had better think this one thru. If he gets in and totally screws everything up how long before another black man would get elected. Not thru any fault of his race but thru fear that everyone else has gotten from the last one. Just sayin. Seems like I would really think this one out.

I wish it would be a 3 or even 4 party system. Doubt that will come along tho. Again I do not intend the other statement to be racist at all.

Sadly I dont see this happening. Political parties throughout history has been phased out as soon as they ideologies change examples of political parties gone: Federalists, tories, whigs, ect. But the real kicker is now that the dem and rep parties have changed stances, ideologies and beliefs several times and have yet to be replaced by a new party or even allow another party to actually run. Im sorry to all those independents out there (I truly am and feel for you) but outside of dem and rep parties there are no real runners for the white house. Hell they aren't even allowed to the debates, meaning the majority of people in America not knowing there is even a third choice. Sad state of affairs our political system is, parties not standing for what they should and a government full of career politicians for them selves and not the people. Gone are the days of a government for the people and by the people...
Personally I believe the rep and dem parties need to be phased out for newer parties that can represent what America actually is today. And I for one am tired of always having to choose between the lesser of two evils.

you really think that if Obama ****s up and Powell or Rice runs in '12 that they would not be voted in solely based on their skin color? by stating that everyone would be 'fearful' in this situation it seems like people would be willfully throwing away rationality. Quote:

Sir I hate to burst the dream world you may be occupying but racism is alive and well in the entire world. And I would hate for a Rice or Powell to not get the chance to be POTUS because of an underachiever who is very wet behind the ears and has extremely whimsical beliefs to screw it up for them.
