Vinyl wrapping - anyone have experience?

Just crossed my mind if its an easy thing to yourself at home.. not exactly going to be doing it, but maybe someday I might get bored of the red and want something to change it up.

Is this basically a big sticker? I've always been curious about how it actually works. Is the paint underneath effected at all over time?

That looks killer! I love that camo, im trying to convince my girlfriends dad to wrap his 2000 f250 in camo on the bottom half. Hes a big time hunter, kind of like Jase's truck in duck dynasty. How hard was it? Air bubbles would be my thing, I guess im just wondering if its worth doing.. like how long its going to last?

Here's the thread of the install:

It was a lot of work, but not too difficult. The thread above should answer most of your questions. As far as longevity, mine looks almost as new as the day I did it BUT my CJ has been garaged 99% of the time since I bought the JKU.

Wow, great job you did! There arent many curves on the jk, just the grille and the hood but other than that the whole side is flat and the rear too.. I think it would be fun to do a little at a time like you did. I would really like my jeep to be a gunmetal color, or a silver..
