no, what you describe is lurking. Trolling is basically starting with people by using irrelevant topics in a thread. So you say, hey, look at my new wheels, and I say damn that lift looks cheap. Or you say..hey, check out my new lift, it's a skyjacker, and I say skyjacker sucks and things take off from there.

I think the trolling they meant that "made the news" is idiot teenagers and other web-wannabes beating up on classmates because they are too poosay to do it in person.

Edit for spelling mistake that I just caught.

not really GT, that's flaming. Trolling is merely antagonistic behavior to get a rise out of someone, and it usually works.

I can see Bransford's post in that other thread has a few in fear of teh banstick. Just relax, if you don't know what trolling is, you're certainly not doing it.

Trolling is different from just disagreeing with someone. Just for an example, let's say someone comes on here and says "Hey guys, I've never ridden a motorcycle before in my entire life and I'm thinking about getting a 200mph+ crotch-rocket so I can blow away my friends and be cool like Vanilla Ice was in that movie where he rode a motorcycle and told that girl to drop the zero and get with the hero. Waddaya think?" and then someone proceeds to tell him he's a moron who will hopefully die without killing any innocent motorists or pedestrians. That's not necessarily trolling or flaming.

I agree with you. I think people are way too freaking serious on here nowadays and if someone calls their lift stupid or says their lights are ugly then they get all butthurt about it and whine instead of just ignoring the person.

Everyone is entitled to there own opinion.

Thats why I hate when you actually post the truth about your opinion on the "new" look of there jeep or whatever and they get upset with you.

As long as the individual that owns it likes it it doesnt matter if its all pink with bondo all over the windsheild.

Again, everyone is entitled to there own opinions.

Haha, it stayed there for awhile and I was wondering too, but its at 70 now.

It would be kind of weird if it stayed there but no body messed with anything.

Okay, sorry I went off-topic, but back on topic now.

Hey grandgirl, your pic reminded me of how my sister got attacked by ostriches in a drive through safari once

That would be an example of trolling, even though it's a true story

my av is an emu (little ostrich)

and a metrosexual one at that

but speaking of ostriches, one of my friends ran over an ostrich in a drive thru safari once the ostrich stuck his head in the window to get he food, they guy droppped the cup of food accidentaly, so the ostrich stuck his whole neck and head iin the car trying ot get eh food off of the floorboard......
the guy didnt realize that the car was in reverse i guess, and he accidentaly hitthe gas in the panic and there was a struggle and such....and an ostrich was standing behind the car and got ran over
