(Sigh!) That's tough, but not unexpected. My brother lives in CO and has a Polaris Ranger. Last summer we were on Tincup Pass with it, which three years earlier I drove my Jeep over it. Tin Cup had really gotten bad in sections to the point were ATVs and even stock Jeeps were having a hard time. We were told by a local that the trial is purposely not being taken care of to discourage ATVs and even Jeeps from using it. That's also happening besides officially closing down trails.
Also, in the Denver Post link, it specifically says "state wildlife experts (like who are these so called experts anyway?) within three months on whether immediate changes must be made
to protect deer and elk." Seriously, I'm all for taking care of the environment, but a few trails running through the mountains are effecting deer and elk?! Why don't they come out here in east, as we have denser populations/developments and our deer and elk populations are actually growing. In fact in my state, our DNR now on a regular basis has to have deer reduction hunts in state parks. I even see deer on a regular basis in my subdivision...
Just a friendly rant.
