tow strap

im running out of room to keep things in my TJ.... is it ok to drive with my tow strap wrapped around my 2 front tow hooks? they have the clips on them so the strap cant's come out:

I would say it is ok except for two problems; theft and wear and degradation from the elements.

I have a bunch of stuff under the hood. Jumper cables, winch cable, rope, etc, Just use some of those really big zip-ties they use for HVAC and "zip-tie" the hell out of stuff. there is a decent amount of room in there. Just make sure its fairly tight so it doesnot fall loose.

You could do what I did and hang it off of the roll bar right next to the High lift with ratchet straps so nothing moves if I try to play stunt man and roll it or get hit by some IA's not knowing what stop means...

If you don't have ABS you can put a strap on the tray that is on the driver's side below the master cylinder. I've carried a strap and jumper cables there without any problems other than maybe getting wet when doing water crossings and when it rains.
