Tin hat construction ?

After feeling the world controlling aliens trying to read my mind I realized that I need to protect myself.

I've heard about 'tin hats' for years but never put any thought into how to make one. Obviously it's much more complex than just covering ones head with a sheet of foil. Knowing the infinite wisdom of the members of this fine forum I thought I could find some answers to this challenging project.

Here are a few of the many questions I have-

Does aluminum foil work as well as tin foil ( I don't think I've ever seen tin foil in my kitchen)?

I know the idea is based on the Faraday cage so do I need to ground my hat to make it work properly?

What thickness of foil do I need?

Is a hat or beanie enough protection or should I make tin ski mask or balaklava?

I've heard that mind reading beams can access my brain via my eyes, should I make some foil glasses as well?

Would it help if I Rhino-line my new hat?

So many questions and so little time. Thanks for any advise or experiences.

Edit- I found this video but I don't trust her. I think she is an alien trying to get us to make ineffective hats. (although she does make foil look good)
