Thoughts on Jeep expanding?

I don't think it's a bad thing. If they keep the Wrangler(their best seller) and a couple other vehicles as actual 4x4's and expand into the "smoother riding" SUV's and cars(?) it will only help Jeep stay around longer. I would not mind if they made some non 4x4's, I would think this would help their popularity if they came out with an actual sports car.

How would you guys feel if they did this?

Like you said as long as they don't smoothen the actual rides or kill the wranglers.. they can go out with whatever they want in fact it can't hurt as long as the actual Jeeps remains Jeeps..

Exactly, as long as they don't venture from their original roots with their 4x4's then I say go for it.

I think the Jeepster is a good compromise, not to mention it will bring back a piece of Jeep history. It has a height adjustable suspension to bring the COG down on road and I think it lift around 4" for off road. It has a nice little V-8. I don't know if I care for the 19's but the run flats are cool. The one neg is the inde-suspension. But it might work if tweeked. I think it'd be a nice little ride.
Old...

New...

Just think of it though the possibility of being able to lift it from it's normal state then a few more inches for hitting the rocks.

Not to mention the V-8 might have a few more hamsters on the wheel than the 2.5 or 4.0 for that matter. My buddy saw it at camp Jeep and said it was pretty badass. I'm also waiting for the Jeep version of the Brute.

That Jeepster would be a great sand buggy type ride.

I'd love one of those.

When I saw them showing that thing in action they had it on a beach. Did any one realize that, that concept has been out for a few years?

They've had the conept since 98 i believe. I think it's be a great ride. I wouldn't mind having some power on the road. I wouldn't take it rock crawling(right away) but that'ds why I'm never getting rid of the YJ. It's be great for cruising the beach, or running fire trails for fun, and when all else fails take the V-8 to the track.

I just recently heard them bringing the prototype around, so maybe it'll be in your local Jeep store shortly.
