It's not a joke,Cherokeegrrl, just an observation. You should see our bathrooms, heck our whole house, seashells everywhere. I'll post some pics later, stay tuned.
And thanks for having a sense of humor about all this.......

And let's see, another one, how about buy fake plants? I don't know any guy who would have use for a fake plant.

OOOPs I just glanced over at my fish tank, yep those plants are fake....

The wife and I were at home watching TV. I had the remote and was switching back and forth between a fishing channel and the porn channel. She became more and more annoyed and finally said, "For God's sake! Leave it on the porn channel! ...You already know how to fish!"

My wife is like an angel flying close to the ground. Probably because she put on so much weight since we met that she can no longer support yourself with those (now too) tiny wings.

I found 1 thing that my wife is really, really really great at!

OMG. She was actually taught that if you go into a skid, just give up? Drop your hands into your lap and hope for the best?

She wouldn't last a week during an Alaskan winter like that. Parents up here take their kids out into empty parking lots or frozen lakes and teach them skid recovery. Drivers ed schools do, also.

Does it not snow in Iowa, or something?

About a week ago I was up in the back part of my property cutting up limbs that had been blown down during a recent storm. There's about 2 acres between where I was and my driveway. I'm up on the hill working and I see my wife pull in the driveway, hop out, open all the doors and the hatchback. She then gets our daughter out of the carseat and they go inside. I'm working, ten minutes go by and the doors and hatchback are still wide open and the interior lights are on. Another 10 or 15 minutes go by....doors and hatchback still open with no sign of my wife. I'm starting to wonder what's going on at this point, but I continue working. After about another 15 minutes my curiosity gets the best of me and I hop on my little tractor and ride down to the house. I walked up to the car to shut the doors and hatchback when I noticed it was full of grocery bags. I loaded up a handful of bags and took them in the house. There was my wife and daughter sitting on the couch watching TV. I asked my wife why she didn't tell me to come down and help carry groceries in. She said," You looked busy and I didn't want to bother you." I then asked her why she had left all her car doors and hatchback open. She said, "I knew it would bother you until you came down to shut them and you could bring in the groceries then." I'm not sure if I'm impressed at her ability to manipulate me into doing something or mad at myself for falling into her trap so easily.

I went to the beach on a guy fishing trip right after a hurricane and brought my wife back a bunch of pretty shells.

fundabug, Your wife knows you way to well.

My Mom had sea shells on the back of our toilet for 15+ years at our old house, just sitting there. I think they are sitting there at the new house again, bachelor pad FTMFW!

For the record, there are no (and will not be) any baskets of potpourri OR seashells in our home. Nor are there baskets for things other than the laundry and in one of our 3 bathrooms, a small basket for hair ties and a brush.

You know I am actually a fan of baskets. Ever been on the can and then realize there was no TP? A cute little basket within arms reach filled to the brim with extra rolls never looked so good

AMEN.

Just like bread ties are meant to be there for one use. After that, you just spin the bag and fold it over.
