Things may not be all that bad

Not that anyone here really cares, but I was really getting down on myself being unemployed and not having any bites with any applications or resumes. I had finally gotten and interview for this past Monday, and my CPS goes out on my way there leaving me stranded on the highway and unable to make the interview. The tow company said it was $75 plus $5 per mile. Got the tow back home, and the driver only charged me $65 because "I looked like I needed a break." Whatever that means, I appreciated his kindness.

Anyways I get towed home, and I'm ready for a **** the world day now and crack a beer at 11am.

I think I might have taken one sip when my phone rings. It was an employer from a few years ago offering me a position. Of course I accept on the spot. So now the beer in hand wasn't for ftw, but for celebration. I told them I would start on Tuesday because I had already rescheduled the interview I missed for this upcoming Monday.

So this morning, I'm enjoying one of my last days of sleeping in when I get a call which wakes me up. It was another organization I've been hounding, wanting me to come in and meet with their directors to discuss employment opportunities. Interview scheduled for next Wednesday. Thank god the position I accepted already is supervised by a woman I am on very good terms with and she is fine with me looking for other jobs. Its tax season and they are slammed and they needed someone to be able to come in and start not needing training. So even if they only get a few weeks of work out of me it still puts them ahead of the game.

I'm sure nobody really cares, but the moral of the story being Even in these ****ty times, if you keep the faith, things will turn around eventually.

After my first paycheck, first round is on me

Congrats man. When it rains, it pours. That rain fills the well and keeps you going for another day.

One of my favorite sayings:

"It's always easier to find work when you already have a job, and it's always easier to get laid when you're married".

Congrats on the new position(s)
