tax filing help

ive begun filing my W2's but i am missing one.
ive had 3 jobs in '12 and 1 of those jobs hasnt sent me my W2 yet.
now, since i made absolute crap at that job (i was a care salesmen, 2.25 an hour and i made one sale before i was fired. and only got 200 from that sale)
i had the job for about a month...would it be a problem if i didnt file that W2?

Not really. Do you have your final pay stub from the co in question?

I find it amusing that when I clicked on this thread, the ad at the top of the page was for H&R Block.

You better wait and see if you get a W2 from them. If they send one to the IRS and you don't claim it on your income, someone might noticed and you'll be on the hook.

No one said not to claim it, HOWEVER if he has his final pay stub that will have all of the information that he will need to file with. If he does not, he will have to wait for the W2

Don't be in such a hurry. The Gov't needs some extra time to find a lender so they can send your refund.

No it will not. The EIN among other things will not be on his pay stub

Yes it will. He needs the $$ and he can call the co for the EIN.

How do you think companies use your final pay stub to do your taxes and let you use them for a down payment on things. Ie car dealerships

The feds are not starting to process returns until at least Jan 30, no matter when you send it. Emplyers are required to provide a W2 by the end of this month. Meantime, try calling and getting the info. If you E-file thru turbotax you don't need the actual paper document.

We shouldn't have to file taxes at all
