So true. I have been surfing since 98 when I moved to Raleigh and the beach was only about an hour away. Moved to Melbourne fl in 04 and it was great. We had nice waves and warm temps. I now live in Destin and the gulf sucks. We only get good waves when a storm is on the way. But it beats the tarp.

You guys take this stuff pretty seriously. It looks like a fun way to kill some time. I might have to pull out my long board and try it. It would actually be pretty cool if you used something stronger than a tarp and you could ride up in the barrel and let the wave push you instead of just riding in front of it.

It would be sweet with a tarp like 100ft. long, as long as i wasnt the one running with the tarp.
