Why sell the Jeep for a front end problem. Get the thing to a trustworthy front end shop, have them check it out, make repairs and install a stabilizer. Problem solved, Jeep stays and life goes on.

ive never looked under a TJ, but it may be similar. my truck got death wobble about 6 months ago. i knew there was a lot of slop in my steering box so i got a new one and put it on. after i had it installed, i jumped in, started the truck and turned back and forth to bleed out the system. i noticed that when i wasnt moving, if i turned the wheel to the right, my entire front end was shifting about 4 inches to the left, then when i turn left, the entire front end was shifting 4 inches to the right. so, i got under and after about 10 minutes looking around i found that my front sway bar mount was bolted to the frame, and one bolt was missing and the other was half hanging out. new bolts torqued down fixed it right up. i think it would definately be worth the time to just crawl under there and check any joints that are bolted together, check your Tierod ends for slop (jack the front end up so you can manhandle the tire and see if you can get it to flop around). definately not something worht getting rid of your rig! i dont drive mine but twice a month and have nothing but problems lol, but its not going anywhere

Spending thousands of dollars when a $50 to a few hundred can fix your problem. Doesn't make sense to me, get it aligned then if you still have it we'll work from there to solve it

Definetly fix it yourself. That's half the fun (or battle) in the jeepin world.
Crawl under there and tighten all your nuts n bolts that have to do with your steering. If your lazy you can even look under there and see if anybolt or nut is hanging out. I had some crazy wobbling, and it turned out to be my tracbar. Tightened that sucker down and been fine ever since. Don't sell your nice Jeep just because it has a problem. I know we all get that feeling sometime, but you know you love your jeep to much to do something like that. ![]()
