check out this flashlight. really not too bad of a deal for what you get... he takes regular 3D maglites and turns them into 1050 lumen monsters. they are rated around 2 million candle power.

I absolutely despise the word tactical. Dont refer to anything as tactical, especially a flashlight.

i have a maglite that's an LED, 1w. it's great, runs on 2 AA batteries. i'm looking to upgrade soon. i'll likely go with inovia's new light. they have a rechargeable light that's a 5w led, or, a 3.5w led running on 2AA, and a 2w light that runs on 2AAA.

they also have a 2w light that runs on one Li battery...but the batteries are huge-expensive at about 5 bucks each. but you can get them from panasonic for a bout a buck a piece if you order 50 or more...but who wants to carry around 50 batteries at a time???

What exactly makes a flashlight "tactical"? Any time I was ever in a tactical environment, we practiced light discipline, which meant absolutely no artificial light.

Tactical light
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Tactical flashlight)
A tactical light is a flashlight used in conjunction with a firearm to aid low light target identification and allows the marksman to simultaneously aim and illuminate the target. Tactical lights can be handheld or mounted to the weapon with the light beam parallel to the bore. Tactical lights also serve a role as a method of non-lethal force, used to temporarily blind and disorient the target

So all small flashlights are tactical now? Do they have to be black/OD green/wolf brown, or will my wife's pink and lavender Hello Kitty light work?

There's so many new flashlights out, LED seems to be the way to go these days.

I bought this one back in December and have been very happy with it.

Lots of pockets and/or random crap hanging off of it I think.

I think adding rails and wrapping it in paracord will make it tactical.
