Surprises!

I love surprises, but more than that I love surprising people. Like I've surprised my boyfriend with "long weekend" trips to Siesta Key FL, Niagara Falls, and a mini-trip to Delaware where he got to drive a Nascar 20 laps around the Dover racetrack.

I also have a friend that loves National Bohemian beer, and for her birthday all she wanted was to have a Natty Bo in Baltimore... only most of the bars didn't sell it anymore since they moved the brewery and they're bitter about it. So I bought a 6-pack, stuck a cold one in my purse, and busted it out in a Baltimore bar for her.

SO! I wanna hear about your surprises! What has someone surprised you with? What are some surprises you've done for your friends or family?

Huh? I was just reminiscing about fun surprises on this Friday afternoon in my jail cell (cubicle) and wondered what ideas other ppl had.

In all seriousness, when I things started getting serious with my current wife I invited her over to the house for a nice dinner that I cooked. I made some bone-in ribeyes on the grill, some grilled asparagus and had some fairly decent wine. After dinner and a nice night of talking, things were going pretty well so I decided it was time for for "the big surprise." I pretended like I had prepared a dessert and all it needed was grabbed out of the freezer. I know what you're thinking .. . how freaking cheesy and cliche to hide it in the freezer, what can I say, it's all I could think of. So, anyway, she graciously agrees to get the dessert out of the freezer. So she opens up the freezer door and there it is . . . the severed head of my first wife. When she finished screaming I made sure to let her know that it was ok and would stay that way as long as she didn't **** with me.

what can I say, I'm all about the romance

Unless it's free beer I'm not that big on being surprised. I'm too much of a control freak. I'd rather be the surpriser than the surprisee.
