STUPID ? How do you post pics with your thread?

I just got my lift put on and I want everyone to check it out. When you hit the add a picture icon it bring up a screen with an http:/ address. WTF.

You have to have the image hosted by another site, or available online somewhere (like you homepage). When you hit the "Insert Image" icon, you type in the URL of the image.

right click on the image you want to insert, go to "properties" there you will see Address [URL], Highlight that address and copy it. Then, click on the insert image button. then plaste the address that you copied. then click OK.

I use Photobucket. Pretty good. "reply" to this message". Then you'll see how to insert the link so it just shows up as a pic in the thread instead of a link. Use this method and it'll show up just fine. See:

image button

I aslo have trouble posting a picture already host on webshots server. In the post screen I dont even see the image button so I write manually and it doesnt work . The same if I remove the .jpg on the url

so what the **** ???? Maybe I'm too stupid to understand I correctly hehe

Most free services do not allow remote linking, which is what this is called.
This is covered in the FAQ.

i'd recomend using photobucket, but if you do be aware that they will resize your image automatically if its too big causing some nastiness...like the one above, so i always resize them before i upload them so there isn't a problem

I have been using picturetrail.com It's pretty reliable but it's $19.99 a year for 500 Pics or 50Mb of pics.

I'm sure there are cheaper places,,..............
