Steelers -vs- Patriots

Granted, the Pats still have to play their Week 13 game tonight (against the Ravens), but I forsee a long week of hype coming up for the Steelers -vs- Patriots game...especially if (more likely WHEN) the Pats beat the Ravens tonight and are still undefeated.

Obviously, the Pats will be favored...do my Steelers have a chance at beating the Patriots? As they say, "that's why they play the game"...or..."any given Sunday"...

Anything is possible, and I think that the Steelers defence will be key. It should (hopefully) be an interesting game!

Discuss.

I really hope someone beats them, because NFL Network has the Patriots/Giants game in Week 17. I don't want them having exclusivity of what could be one of the most historic games in all of professional sports (should they win and finish the season undefeated).

Go... Steelers?

I'm voting with my heart here, I really want to see the Steelers win this one. I'm sick and tired of hearing about how "perfect" the Pats are.

Would't it be great to see 0-15 Miami beat 15-0 New England?

I think the Pats win in a close one.

I seriously doubt they steamroll the Steelers as they have most other teams - especially after seeing the way the Steelers defense completely shut down the bungholes' receivers last night. The fact that it's a home game for NE, and the Steelers are still without Holmes, Polamalu, Smith, and now Kreider and Davenport gives NE the advantage. They're going to be up for this game, and a win wouldn't surprise me, the same way they beat New England and Philly when they were both undefeated 3 years ago, and no one gave them a chance.

The keys will be can Pitt's o-line hold up to the pass rush and can they get pressure on Brady? If so, they've got a good chance.

On a similar note, I think it's only a matter of time before some player with a temper and a chip on his shoulder decides to take out Brady for the season - sure, it's just a job and if they don't want the score run up, stop them, it's what you're paid to do. BUT, they do take pride in what they do and take it personally when you run up the score - I see James "silverback" Harrison as a real threat to do this.

YES!!! I'm a diehard Steelers fan, but I'd rather see the Steelers lose to New England and have Miami beat them, just for the irony. (besides, the Steelers have all but locked up the division).

The local channels in Ma and NY will have coverage of the game too.

Three seasons ago, a 2-11 Miami beat 12-1 New England on Monday Night Football (the season Ricky Williams left and Dave Wannstedt quit). They were down 28-17 with 3 mins to go and came back to win.

That game will be in NE this time (and not on MNF) so Miami won't be able to wear their orange miracle jerseys.

I have been saying it too. The Steelers are going to win that game, even if Rothlesberger has a bad game, they are going to win it. I can't say why, or how, but I have a gut feeling about it.

If they were playing in Pitt. on that nasty field, then the Steelers would have an edge. That field can make a great team look average.

Another messy game last night, but it sure was a vast improvement over last week!

The only way the Steelers win in a blow out is if the Ravens break the offensive line down to the point that Pittsburgh can't help but hit Brady every play. Then we might get to see the second string QB for the Pats
