Spent the night in the hospital last night

My wife and I were watching tv at like 6:30 yesterday evening. I stood up to go to the bathroom, and BAM! a pain in my head. An ambulance came and rushed me to the hospital. The doctor came in and said he wanted to rule out an aneurysm. Great! I thought I was going to die. After blood work, and 2 CT scans (one with dye, one without) they said I wasn't going to die, just some sort of f'd up headache. I am man enough to admit, that I was scared to death. I've had some serious injuries in the past, and nothing has ever felt like that. I wanted to cut off my head. Anyone else ever had a headache like that?

My mom gets these really bad migranes so she gets some pretty good painkillers. You should get some to and share them with all us.

I will have to be honest with you I just found this mole again on my back right below my left shoulder and it looks red like it has been agitated but it hasnt' I think I am going to go and have it checked out that would suck to die from skin cancer. I mean I don't sun bath or tan or any of that messed up junk but you know get sun burnt on accident at the beach thing might have happened a couple of times. I know this dosn't have anything to do with head achs but to be honest I am a bit scared right now since I have never seen this mole this size and color before.

I have some strange things on my shoulders and was pretty scared about them. I had them checked and it was nothing but strange scars. Just go get it checked out so that you can put your mind at ease.

I had an incident once that scared the crap out of me. I woke up and got out of bed on my right leg. I go to take a step on my left leg and I fall hard to the floor. I think I must have tripped or something. I'm stunned and pull myself up on my right leg again and go to step again only to fall to the floor again. Now I know something is wrong. I thought I was paralyzed or having a stroke...I don't know, I'm very confused. The whole time, my normally sweet, caring, loving girlfriend is in bed laughing hysterically but trying to muffle it. It's not working. I'm scared, confused, shaking, sore from falling and pissed off that my wonderful girlfriend is laughing at me. I laid on the floor for probably 15 minutes, seething. Turns out, my leg had fallen asleep for some reason and I couldn't feel it. Sure had be scared though. My girlfriend still cracks up when I bring it up. She thought that I tripped on the blanket....twice.

My GF passed out at work today! We work at the same place and she had been vomiting on and off for the last month. She's had a history of Gall bladder problems and throwing up so much, she became dehydrated and passed out in the hallway. Scared the crap out of me!!!! I became dehydrated this past summer from working outside so much that I came in the shop from a job one hot afternoon and passed right out in the floor. That's a scary feeling suddenly waking up with people all around you freaking out.
Just a couple of years ago I had to have a couple of cancerous areas cut out of my skin. No big deal in the end, but nothing scares the crap out of you like the doctor saying the big "C" word.

I have discovered over the years that when I get a really bad headache cutting off someone's head does not, in fact, make the headache go away.

I have had to take a couple scary ambulance rides, but that is only because my partner for the night wasn't the most responsible EMT.

i feel ya on that one. I'm only 26 and I have 2 bulging discs in my lower back, and my back hurt constantly. Occasionally, my legs would tingle like they were waking up from being asleep. Got up one morning to go to work at 5:30... next thing I know I wake up at 11:06 with my head pounding and dried blood on my face. Apparently, when I stood up my back went out and made my legs go numb. This caused me to fall forward and hit my head on the dresser, which gave me a mild concussion and knocked me unconscious for almost 6 hours. What woke me up was someone POUNDING on my front door... At the time I worked for the Sheriff's Office and when I didn't show up or call in, they got worried. The next day, I got a steroid epidural and have been pain free ever since.
