Speeding ticket

I don't want flames. so GTFO please if you are going to flame

anyways, Was in a hurry to get to the airport the other day, and got pulled over doing 85 in a 65mph zone... I am currently jobless and looking. what can I do to pay for the ticket? or should I try to fight it in court? It was out of my area, so I'd have to drive an hour just to go to the court.

2 options. Borrow the money from my parents, or try to fight it? I don't know how much it is right now... but what should I do?

Borrow the money, doubt that you're gonna get out of it, more so since you're an "out of towner". Why did you need to get there so fast?

If he got you on radar/lidar then forget about beating it and just pay it, and he most likely did. Not much you can do about speeding tickets. Just pay the fine and be done with it.

Alright you Primitive Screwheads, listen up! You see this? This... is my boomstick! The twelve-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about a hundred and nine, ninety five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?

Just go on a payment plan, the court systems will usually work with you. I had a buddy that paid off a $180 fine by paying $10 a month for 18 months.

I have fought every speeding ticket I ever got...all four of them. You are not going to get out of it, but you can get it reduced. Show up on your court date, ask to speak to the DA, tell them your story (jobless, broke, made a mistake, can't afford ticket, etc) and ask if they will please reduce the ticket. Wear khakis, a button down, nice shoes....no tie, nothing too nice. You need to look like you are showing respect, but don't have money. You shouldn't have a problem.
Borrow the money from your parents and be prepared to pay the new, reduced fine, on the spot.

in a lot of places you have to pay the full amount of the ticket as bond for going to trial anyways.

got out of one because the patrolman cited the wrong serial number for his radar unit in the calibration affirmation part of his testimony. judge even asked him to repeat the number 3 freaking times.

Why to you want to fight the ticket? Where you going 85 or is the amount to high? If you were going 85, then the ticket is fair, borrow the money, pay in full.
Where I live, if you fight a ticket in court and loose, you have to pay the court fee, meening more $. I you feel you are innocent, then fight it.

court fees are added to all fines here, if you fight it you don't have to pay any more and you get it all back if you win. only lose time to fight a ticket so it's always a good idea.

I got a ticket for 90 in a 65 in jan about an hour away. Im in the same situation as you. Got laid off the day after it happened. I took the drive there and of course lost being that I didnt live there and these people were very unfriendly. There were about 40 people there with me that day. Anyways, I got them to extend the due date till the end of this month. At the least they could give you more time to pay it.
