He was one of my favorites on Band of Brothers....awesome mini-series. I would think that was his biggest role to date.

Yeah the cop that got shot had it coming in my book. "I'm your superior officer" He freakin' told him he didnt search him! Oh well, other than the rookie always looking like hes trying to catch flies. Ya know, how his mouth is always hanging open with that dopey look. I liked it. I thought the training officer was cool!

It's online if anyone hasn't seen it yet, it also is coming on again on NBC tonight.

I watched the first 2 episodes and I really like it. Couple of questions/observations

1. Lots of bleeping. Is this by design or I wonder if the first few episodes were shot for cable and it got picked up by NBC.

2. I don't like Regina King in it, she is overacting if you ask me.

3. I really wish it was on HBO and could be more "raw"

4. Overall, good show, goes well after my other Thursday night TV watching.

1. no idea

2. I agree, and I noticed that too. But to see true overacting, turn over to the disney channel at any time of the day. Every actor, every program, every time.

3. Same here, I'd like to see some hooker offer a bribe to get out of an arrest

Yeah, if it was on HBO or Showtime the sky would be the limit. I could see a gritty, realistic police show being a huge hit. Not necessarily Soprano's huge, but definitely as big as like Sex and the City, Desperate Housewives of any of the other Made for Cable stuff.

I have the third episode on my Tivo, will be watching it shortly.

Was filmed for NBC by the previous producer of ER. The bleeping is for effect, so the interview with Wells said.

Very good replacement for ER. I loved ER but it was dragged out a bit too long.

I watched ER for a couple seasons, I gradually lost interest because there's only so many times I can hear, "Quick we need a CEM7, bloodgas and a shot of eppi" before I start changing channels. It was good at the begining, but it got old. Best part I can remember was when that read headed prick doctor got his arm cutoff by the chopper

Heck yeah, that was Dr. Romano, he was such a prick. I think ER jumped the shark when Anthony Edwards died. The early seasons were AWESOME. I liked Noah Wyle's character, Edwards, Clooney, etc. The new batch of people is ok (especially Stamos, his girl and the Indian) but for the most part they annoy me. I think Neela or whatever her name is is smokin.

I don't see the ER writing in Southland like others do, I just think its a good show. It will be curious to see where this thing goes with the bible thumper who is living a lie and had the one guy whacked. His thug friend is annoying and deserves a curb stomp.

There is such a show, and it's called The Wire. It ran for 5 amazing seasons on HBO. They stopped because the producer/director/ or writer didn't have any more personal experience with baltimore's dark side.

I don't think he is involved in the writing but more the production, filming style. That was what he was famous for in ER. The 360 camara etc.
