Haha, that's excellent. Of course the Ghostbusters Subaru is cooler, especially if they really do have full costumes.

The Ecto-1 would've been cooler if they have actually found an old Cadillac ambulance, though.

Hello guys. I am the OP from Something Awful, NASIOC, and Proptopia. I built and own this replica.

Actually, that's incorrect. There are four 'different' jeeps seen in the movie. The main characters are picked up by 18 and 29, 18 is the jeep in the scene where the dinosaurs are first shown. Dennis Nedry steals the embryos and then crashed jeep number 12. And jeep 10 is used in the t-rex chase where it crashes under a tree, ripping off the windshield. This is the same jeep used in the end when the characters are picked up at the visitors center by Hammond and Malcolm, then driven to the rescuing helicopter. When it comes to the accuracy of this vehicle, I poured over every shot involving the jeeps in the movie.

That said, the jeep is not complete. I still have to install the sidesteps, the lightbar that goes over the windshield (I have not been able to find the right kind of bar, not on ebay or quadratec or any local 4x4 stores, help would be GREATLY appreciated!), the little amber lights above the taillights, and the winch.

As for the winch, my original plan was to take a custom sound system and disguise it as the winch, then blast different dinosaur roars or theme music through it. Still working on that one.

You are soooo the first person to say that! :

I suppose a month from now I'll be able to post the entire story with all my pictures from start to finish in the jeep registry! Also, thank you guys for your kind words and compliments. As much fun as it is to own this thing, the part I like the most is how happy seeing this thing seems to make people.
