So whenever you make a waiter/ress mad your food will come with an "extra"?

This girl I'm dating came to pick me up to go out for dinner, she asked if she could bring her cousin along that she was paying for her, I told her to not worry about it(cousin is pretty, prettier than the date ) and bring her along, she arrived to pick me up at 10:30pm we were looking for a place to eat and out of all places Denny's was the only place opened, so we went in there.
The manager was by the door and he took us to our table, waitress came and asked what we wanted to drink, she brought the drinks, we were so busy talking that we hdn't looked at the menu yet, so we asked for another minute, she came back and we were still not ready, after like 30 minutes of being seated we realized she didn't came back the manager was near and I told him to please check, well all of the sudden we hear them arguing and she telling him how she had came multiple times, the manager sent another waiter, the other waiter came with an attitude took our order and left (I told him to please not put any cheese on my omelette), he came 10 minutes later with our order put it on our table and didn't ask if we needed anything else, (my omelette came with cheese) the manager was near and I asked him for tabasco sauce and a fork, I totally forgot to ask him to refill my drink, so I just ate the cheesy omelette with no drink and got over it.
While we were eating, all of the sudden ocurred to me that the waitress as mad as she sounded had put "something extra" on our food the girls didn't eat after that I really didn't care, but the thought was there.
Thought seriousy of not leaving a tip but I still leff 2 bucks(I'm a very good tipper this is the first time that I leave 2 bucks my tips start at 10 dollars and up especially if the waitress is hot )

After working in food service I never complain about the food or piss off the server. Most people wont do a thing but why risk it. I absolutely never ever send food back. Think waiting.

I was gogin to mention "Waiting" man what a funny movie, I'm the nicest guy in the world and I tip pretty good too, My wife and I eat out so much the most of the places we go we have a certain waitresses that will come up and tell the hostess to put us in their section.

Only place I'm not sure about is the Sushi place close to me, not really a regular there, and I can't understand a damn word they say. I went with my friend the other day and he knows Korean and they started talking and the whole time I thought they were all Japaneese, since it's called Japaneese Guarden???

Anyway, my buddy starts laughing and leans over to tell me that one of them was telling the other one about some bimbo he had banged last night. Now by looking an my firend, there is no possible way to know he speaks Korean. He's a 30 year old white guy, shaved head, 1/4 tribal sleaved tat's on both arms that come right up to the neck and then has two big dumbell type earings in both ears and wears a goatee.

The longer we sit and enjoy our sushi, the longer he get's the story on this chick this guy banged, never letting on that he has a clue what their saying. He leans over to me again and say's, "Dude I think I banged the same chick like three weeks ago"

So as we are done eating, he says a bunch of jibber jabber to the guys that prepared our mael and they had this crazy look on their face when he started speaking Korean but then they started laughing and giving him "bumps" my guess was for banging the same girl...it was a bizzare moment for me to say the least, I felt like a foreigner but I was still here in the US

Never piss them off before you eat unless you want a little extra added to your food. I have seen waiting too many times to learn that the hard way.

I wouldn't worry about it. Worst they would do is "accidently" drop it then put it back on your plate. anything else would be tough to get or easily detected.
Easy way to tell is to look at them on the way out. If they did something to your food they are going to want to see you eat it. and they are probably going to be smiling/laughing. If they just look annoyed or aren't around at all then they are still pissed at you and didn't do anything about it.

I don't get this I would of been pissed and left. Its a Denny's at night it's kinda the point of the resturant if you wanna spend 4 hours in the damn place then go ahead. My guess is he waitress figured you'd be around for a while and was a dumb **** and didn't wanna have to deal with you at that point I would of said fine got up and left and went to Arbys and called it a night.

What was the "extra"? I'd have made a scene for the entire restaurant to enjoy.

Hey, it's Denny's... I'm sure nothing the waitress puts in the food is any worse than the food itself!

You are more generous than I would be. IF I had stayed, they would get zero tip. I don't mind tipping well (I often leave well over the 15% standard) as long as an effort is made to do their best. Not even attempting to do a decent job deserves ZILCH in the tip column!

At good restaurants we don't put anything in your food.....we just make fun of you until you leave.
