So.... it turns out I don't have a Willys Edition

So.... while posting info on the Willys thread on another forum - I was educated by someone that knew even more then I on the subject....

I don't have a Willys Edition that the dealer put ecco wheels on as originally thought.

I have a 24X Package Special Edition X.

Its a Willys edition for all purposes - subwoofer stereo, green rubicon rock guards, green fender flares, camo seats, green soft top - but with ecco wheels and no decals.....

Go figure.....

A scan of my sticker confirms I do not have the Willys 25X package (around $1400) - I have the 24X Special Edition Package at $2105.

So it seems the only difference is your package doesn't have the stickers, but does have the tow hooks up front. $705 tow hooks? Seems the only reason they offered your package was for those that like the look without the stickers. I'd still have no problems calling it a Willy's edition if I were you.

Just as bad-*** as a "willy's". Awesome color on seats, top, and flares!

I'm going to call it a Willys as well as mine. If it looks like a Willys and drives like a Willys it must be a Willys

If it drove like a real Willys, I think you'd rather it just be a TJ.

Probably why they had 3 of them in June of 2006 - when the 2007s were threatening to come out....

The dealers first (and final) offer was $19,100...... thats why I jumped on it...

My 05 X was stickered at $23,995. It has the 6 speed, Ecco wheels with the 225/75R15 Goodyear GSA's, cruise, A/C, and full doors as options. I added the tow hooks later.
