"Small" Bump in power.....

A small project we are doing in our shop right now for a cust. Not a jeep but figured some of you would get a kick out of it....

03 Silverado SS, 6.0L, AWD. Pretty slow in factory form. Regular Bolt ons are not enough. Small turbo or supercharger - Still not enough. Nitrous - Too lazy to keep filling bottles. We want LOTS of power, the following is our build progress towards the quest of BIG power.....

I want to mount the turbo centered and a little bit below the throttle body. Both headers are going to come forward and Y underneith the turbo. All the tubing is 304 stainless, as well as the header flanges. The engine will stay completely stock untill the customer gets greedy.

finally got all the passenger pipes done. just need to trim them down and collect them.

The drivers side is coming along too.

Alot of stuff arived Friday. The turbo is scheduled to arive tomorrow. The fuel system is coming together. Its going to be twin in tank walboro's coming out as a pair of -6, the into a Y block converting to -8, threw the filter up to the rising rate FPR then into a set a Areomotive rails. I'll get pics of that stuff tomorrow.

For now I have the drivers side header almost finished. Just one more pipe that has to go underneith the steering shaft. The nice thing so far is that every header bolt can be hit straight on by a socket. I'm going to need to change 1 spark plug boot though. Don't worry there will be some heat shields going up around the vitals.

Well the UPS guy made a stop at the shop today with presants from Garrett.....

GT4294......

And yes even big turbos like cold, refreshing soda to quench their thirst.....

Now comes fititng the turbo.....

Those are some HUGE turbos. What's the anticipated rpm spool? I would think running twins that large off of approx 3 liters each might take a while to spool them. What are the plans for intercooling?

A damn big intercooler is on its way. This is going to be a single front mounted turbo.
