wow i cannot believe people gave you some legitimate responses, threads like this usually end up looking like something from webmd.com
i spilt some real fresh apple blend on my gray carpet and it rubbed in and stained pretty bad. i used a mixture of paint thinner (very little) and 409 to get it out. i imagine it would work fine to get the stains out, might discolor your tan carpet a little bit though but it did nothing to my gray carpet.
You spit? Just swallow that snuice juice - ain't gonna hurt ya! As for the carpet - soak/scrub/suck dry/repeat until clean - or hang a whole bunch of little trees air fresheners from your rear view mirror ....
Here's a ditty for you dippers out there
"Well she's got a plug in both her cheeks and she's
got Copenhagen in her lip.
She's got a roll your own stuck between her teeth and I've never ever seen her spit."
From the song "Copenhagen Angel" by the late, great Chris Ledoux

It's bad enough that you collect the tins and have 300. Ugh. But, why do you use the SAME bottle to spit in? There's gotta be a better way. My old boss used to chew all day long, and he'd fill up a large soda cup by the end of the day. The thing is, the WHOLE BUILDING smelled like dip, and it made me gag every time I went in there. I can't get behind the "dip is better than smoking" thing either. But anyway, it sounds like you figured it out. Like others said though, Febreeze is good, and so are those Husky rubber floor mats. Especially since you're in snow country.

that snapple bottle's got to be some kind of nasty. I keep a stash of those shorty water bottles in a cooler so when i finish off the water I got a nice low profile bottle that even if it does go sideways i've got a decent chance at minimizing any spill.
