Its a rifle. It does look a great deal like your 514. It was given to me by my grandfather. Then it was stolen. I want to replace it. I just never got over the fact that it was stolen.

Oh man that sucks, I got this one from my dad, when I go it will go to my oldest son. That Double 9 revolver up there was bought by my dad when he was 16 and I got it when he passed, my younger son will get that one when I go.

He you got an imagination right? Well just make up a story that the asswhipe that stole it accidently shot himself in the sack when he leaned it up against the end table to count his loot and it fell over. Maybe it cause him to never have kids, thus ending his swim in the gene pool

Fortunatly I found out who stole it. It was many years ago. Lets just say I got my "pound of flesh" but he had sawed the barrel and stock down until it was not even worth keeping. Model 41's in excellant condition are not that easy to come by. I have seen a few on GunsAmerica but they were not even close to what I want.

As for my firearms, I only own a plain old Remington 870, and I plan on purchasing a pistol soon. But my Dad has a butt load of guns, including a Weatherby Vanguard 30-06, a Winchester 30-30 trapper model, a 30-40 Kraig manufactured in 1889, a .50 cal Hawkins muzzle loader, a Remington Model 11 12 Ga. shotgun made in 1949, and an old New England Firearms single shot 12 Ga.

I think this guy just got his dad into a whole heap of trouble with the President Elect.

My four year handgun permit is up next year (what is a CCW in other states... we have no concealed requirement here in Indiana). Anyway, I plan on upgrading to Indiana's new life-time permit, but who knows is that will really be lifetime? It's going to be interesting for law abiding gun owners...

All right, I gotta ask you guys about this.

Now, to preface, I'm a gun owner, I support the second amendment, and I plan to buy more guns as soon as I get the money together.
So, somebody earlier said they needed to run out and buy an assault rifle and a .50 cal sniper rifle before they get banned.
Why?
What useful purpose do those weapons serve you, other than letting you put up a little better, but ultimately short-lived fight against the government, should that day ever come?
If you want them just because they are fun to own and shoot, that's good enough for me. The 2nd amendment says nothing about the arms needing to be practical. But are we just arguing the principal of the matter on gun rights when we get "up in arms" so to speak, when percieving a threat to ownership of these weapons? I'm just curious about the ownership ideology involved with these weapons, since there's been so much talk of a ban lately.
