Theres a semi auto thompson at the little sporting good store down the road from me. IIRC they want something around $1300 for it.

Our shop sells them new for about $800 with the stick magazine, although the last time I was in they were near a $1,000 now. I was going to buy one just to have till I held it, that is one heavy awkward gun.

But they can be equipped with 50 rd. drums. That's 50 rounds of .45 ACP *** whoopin'.

My dad knew guys that carried them with the Rangers in Nam. According to him/them, there is nothing else in the world, short of an air strike, that is as effective as a Thompson for clearing brush of people at medium to close ranges.

Nope, not even an M60.

Oh course, the Thompson fires big, heavy, slow rounds. It will tend to stop at short ranges no problem

Ah, I see. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

It also spits them out at 600-800 rounds per minute. It also has massive magazines. It also has dual pistol grips. It also was being utilized by psychotic, blood thirsty maniacs that wore necklaces made out of their victims teeth who kept jars of eyeballs in their hooches and who robbed graves to buy heroin...

My dad had buddies that carried 1 round into combat in sawed off shotguns. Sometimes, it's the user and not the equipment.

You're right, I should have tattooed "I heart .45 ACP" on my genitals, so the newbs would know where I stand.

You can Google "Kimber Compact II" and look at the number of times that I've smeared pictures of my love child across the internet. It's in the top 10 of overused internet pictures, but here it is again for the newbs:
