The SR1911 is a fine piece, but not what I would go balls crazy for in the 1911 world.

Sexy - story I heard is in the early 80's FBI used 10mm but quit due to blowing holes through ppl and killing bystanders .... Second hand story but went on to explain why they developed the less powerful 40s&w

Main reasons they scrapped the idea was the ammo is to heavy and powerful. The frame is big so you would need to have large hands. They also had issues with some agents being able to handle the recoil. Denmark issues Glock 20s to their arctic patrols to defend themselves against polar bears

OMG GUNZ!

One of my more recent projects. bout 1/2 MOA on paper. I go out ringing steel at 600 yards with factory match .223. Working on load development of my own at the moment.

View through the optics. Nothing too special. SWFA SS 3-9x42. Still cost more than the rifle tho lol.

Recently been pushing this out to 1000 yards.

Target is only at 600 in this pic. 600 has become pretty easy. 800 becomes a bit challengning, 1000 even more so especially with the wind.

It's a Ruger for one. I boycott all Remington products. If you take that out of the picture still like the feel of the SR better.

Thanks.

The Mossberg MVP isn't anything special, it's 100% stock with some decent optics. But its pretty cool, out of the box shooting 1/2 MOA with Federal Match .223.
