If you look at the last attempts at passing a new federal assault weapons ban they include a great many guns BY NAME rather than by features. The AR is at the top of the list so you can kiss the AR goodbye. Won't matter whether it has a flash hider, bayonet lug etc

Why, who needs to own a gun???? The fact that someone would actually need it is proposterous. I sold mine to some really nice guys I met buying bed sheets at bed bath and beyond. But I did keep my Red Ryder.

I lost mine in a terrible cosmoline accident. Then they fell into a pipe which was somehow sealed and buried under 4 feet of Earth in an undisclosed location. Im so glad this happened because they are dangerous.
