Just ordered and patiently await the ultimate in home protection with the hollow points and the ultimate bear getter in ball caps. I do not hunt bear but I want to protect myself in MT. bear country when fishing. I do not shoot folks either but feel somewhat safer when this hand cannon is presents itself. I will be able to pick it up in 12 days. Hollow point mushrooms to almost 1 1/8 inches.

Do you ever watch Shooting USA on the outdoor channel? In the intro it shows Jim Scoutten shooting one of those and it is all he can do to control it. Not a gun to take a range to shoot all day, that's for sure.

Yup, I do not want to shoot that thing all day either. I don't even like plugging with my .38 for that fact. I like plinking with my .17 or .22 on squirrel and gophers better. I just bought a Rem. 7 MM Mag for bigger hogs.. 22-250 for little ones. Our ranch has all the worlds pests. Hunting is neccessary as the cattle stumble into the rooting or holes left by these pesky waskles so they have to die. No questions or quarter given.

Funny thing you would ask. I just saw a special on TV and he was shooting that hand cannon. He made cole slaw out of a head of cabbage in a shot. That is why i want to buy it , so I too can make cole slaw. ( Kidding)

My purpose is mostly for bear protection. I am still of the mind set that I really don't want to pull the trigger until I am being eaten... or close to it. I was with a few cousins last year fishing in bear town and didn't feel real good with 2 .45's and 1 .44.....made fishin more of a watchful thing than enjoying the serenity.. so now.. a new world order commences.

How do you like that P22, I was wanting one for the range, .22s are so cheap, I thought it would be a fun range gun. I'm torn between it and the Sig Mosquito:

Looks like a Universal M1 Carbine. Not one of the war-production models.

You can do things the right way or the wrong way.
Or you can do it MY way...which is like the wrong way, only faster.

I like it a lot. Its fun to shoot and easy to clean. Just try it out, the handgrip is very thin. Great for the wife. Minimally comfortable for me.

Regardless, it is not an 'original', which is what I am sure Matt was so up in arms about.

Okay, nothing really fancy but a couple of interesting weapons...

(2) mid to late 1700's flint rifles

S&W .38 from the 50's

Harrington & Richardson Arms .32

and my Mossberg 500 shottie

(I'd really like to get my hands on either a Colt or Kimber 1911)

Guns don't kill people... Bad trail spotters do.
