Selling...

I know the econ has something to do with it, but what a PITA selling the Jeep.

When the price was on the high side I had a decent amount of interest in it, some good, some idiotic low ballers. But I had interest and I had a sale going good till... well he was a cheat.

Anyway, now that the price is lower and below 'market' value I get nothing, I mean nothing. WTF?

It's getting annoying have another car all lined up but waiting to sell the Jeep.

I've basically given up on selling mine. All I got were lowball offers. I finally decided I'd just keep it.

I had my Jeep on the market from Nov 08 - Feb 09. Sold it Feb 14 '09. Took awhile. It was weird because when I posted it the week of Feb 14 I was like "**** it, lets see if I will get some bites." Got 4 calls 20 minutes after posting.

Just keep posting it, it will catch someone's eye.

I sold my Jeep without listing it, but my cousin bought it.

When I sold my 02 Tacoma it took almost 5 months, but I got what I was asking for it.

Mines been at my mechanics sitting with no plates getting fixed. He told me that's there are people coming in and asking about it every day. I haven't even put a for sale sign on it and I have offers.

God knew what your (see I get it) plans were after you sold it and now you regret it.

I miss my YJ, this current TJ just isn't my thing.

If it dosen't sell this weekend, I am bouncing the price back up to where I prefer it to sell at. I just have something else lined up and he is getting 'antsy.' If I am not able to act quickly I will just say screw it and let it go as it is.

Check this out last fall i decided it was time for my fourwheeler to go since i was no longer using it. Put an add on ebay and next day this kid calls me and asks if i will trade for a fourwheeler double the value of mine. I didn't have time to waste for this so i told the kid no. He called me back again and really wanted it so i told him i would do it but he had to drive the two hours to my place and if everything was as he said we would trade. So he did and i sold the traded fourwheer on ebay for more than i payed for mine 3 years ago and many miles earlier. It was awesome i got money in the bank and never left my garage and with the extra room came the r6.

I made sure that the kid new that he was making a very bad deal but this kid was persistent. I almost felt bad about it.

Ive tried selling my C6 for a while; about 8 grand under book and I got a dozen dealers asking me 5 grand under that. Go screw! Its still for sale. Kind of. If it sells, it sells. If not, I dont have any problems keeping it.

Until I got gates I had a few people come to my door and another leave a note on my windshield while in the driveway asking to buy.
