Screw the people that make fun of my RE lift-They're just jealous!

OK, so today i'm sittin in the school parking lot (yeah I'm still in high school) and someone says, "Who's jeep is that, It's pretty cool!" then his friend (who I don't know) says "that jeep's gay the sticker says Rubicon Express and It's not even a Rubicon!". I couldn't believe it when this kid goes over and climbs into a '90something Honda Civic. Not that I'm offended, since I love my jeep and I know it's far more capable than any stock Rubicon. It's just this kid's ignorance that i laugh at . People think they know jeeps when they own some junky ricer anyway! I've had this happen several times, so this isn't the first

Who else has caught crap for their jeep. I know someone else has.

Yea my friends rip on my Jeep some times....but they drive a buick so I don't really take it to heart. I did have a kid who drives his daddy's H2 tell me his truck was much better than mine because it had an IFS meaning it was better offroad..I just laughed.

except you aren't more capable than a stock Rubicon, unless you are locked front and rear, and have dana 44's front and rear. Even on stock height, they have you beat.

My neighbour, she just got a 95 maybe 96 Honda Del Sol and she was telling me how my TJ is okay, but the Del Sol is BY FAR the cooler vehicle. I said to her "we'll see which one is cooler when I email you some pics of me flexing the Jeep on your hood while you're at work." She wasn't impressed LOL

Nothing turns on the girls like telling them their car sucks. Next time just call her ugly, bet she rips your clothes off on the spot.

oh yeah?

well this one time... someone told me my jeep was a POS and I was like... yeah? well whatever you drive is a piece of crap.

Then he was like.. well whatever... yours is a bigger piece of crap. Then I was all like, man that's tough talk from a guy that drives a piece of crap.

Then he was all like man, you're right.

then I said like it's ok man. mine is a piece of crap too.

Then we hugged and made up.

BUT THEN... his friend got jealous that we were hugging and called my jeep a POS....

Then I was like dude.. you don't even drive. don't be hatin'

he was like .. that's cool. and we've been friends since.

Well considering how she's married and I'm engaged, I'm not really interested in getting busy with her. LOL Plus it's just good natured ribbing. Her and her husband are Honda freaks. I like to get the occasional shot back after the hard time they always give me because of my "loud, stinky" Jeep LOL

Dealing with ignorance will be a daily occurance. Be glad it is still kind of new to you I did like your story. That was great.(it's not even a Rubicon )

The only thing I covet in a Rubicon is its 4:1 t-case. So far as the rest of it goes, I'd take his '98 over a stock Rubicon and I'd definitely keep my '97 TJ if some crazy Rubicon owner offered me a straight-across trade.

I'm sure that's true but you're an old man set in his ways and new/better things are scary. I'm not saying he's driving a pos but his statement was downright funny.
