safari rack

just bought a surco safari rack for my xj and need to know how to get the factory cross rails off. anyone know how to do this?

its not to difficult...you need to remove the end caps on the rails then just slide the rack feet off through the end....of course you will need to loosen the adjuster wheels on the stock rack parts...then end caps of the tracks are mounted with only one screw in the center of eack
