SAE Go-Kart Baja Fabrication

Hey all,

Being an engineering major this year I just signed up to participate in the southern "SAE/Baja" race. The team must design and fabricate a go-kart that can traverse all types of terrain as well as remain watertight and compete. It should be fun, I'll keep everyone posted. Here are some pics of last years model.

Enjoy.
Matt

GO HOGS! I know exactly where all of those rigs are, that one on the web page, number 26 has got a really nice textured paint job on the frame and a really neat suspension set up.

The U of A Mechanical Engineering building has three of these mini baja rigs and some solar boats as well.

The U of A has got a really good engineering school, I should know, I work there. I'm a tech in Industrial Engineering at Bell Engineering

actually, they aren't, the top is really light and they are suprisingly wide and long. I would feel totally comfortable riding in one.

its just one of those things that when you see it in person, all your fears go away and all that you've got left is "I want to drive it!"

those karts are less than a mile from my house and look so sweet
