Rust-Bucket Build-Ups Club
Welcome to the Rust-Bucket Build-Ups Club. I created this club for those in the Jeep community who, like me, waited until the jeep was a Rust-Bucket before building it up. To be eligible for the club, you cannot have a currently stock (Suspension/Tires/Axles/etc) Jeep vehicle. The Jeep needs to be, or once been, a Rust-Bucket. The Jeep must've remained mostly stock until after Rust-Bucket status was attained.
For Example: I bought my Jeep with 120,000 miles on it, in stock form. I made a few cosmetic changes, and added a Jeeperman Bumper. It stayed mostly stock until 145,000 miles at which point I put a 3" lift and 33" tires on it. While the body was in decent shape, the frame is VERY rusty. You can read more about my build on the SIRA website. http://www.sira4x4.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1666 Request a number and post your pics! I Claim #1! Pre-lift: Post-lift: #1 mpyusko

looks great, mike!
my flares were all faded like yours. half-an-hour and a rattle-can of semi-flat black made them look really nice. just a suggestion. ![]() |

Here is a before to after pic of my Jeep. Be warned that it is a 4.8MB animated GIF image before clicking to view it.
(a blend of 2 pics posted above.)

Sweet ****ing Jesus man. Take a fresh water hose to your frame and POR-15 the thing. Actually. Scratch that. I would take the tub off and spray everything you can see.

Close, NYS DOT! They dump so much salt on the roads in the winter, the roads are still white form it until May!
Edit: I did try washing the frame.... ![]() But it didn't cleanup too well...
