The only real off-road park is in Gilbert, MN. It's about 1 hour NW of Duluth and about 4 hours north of Minneapolis. There are also some trails up in the north part in the Superior National Forest.

The wife and I slept in rest stops in South Dakota and Minnisota on our way home from our road trip to Wyoming and had no problems at all but we were only in each rest stop for about 2 hours.

if she isnt comfortable with rest areas i had a guy tell me that he goes to a hospital and park in their lot or the police station or like right out front of it if you are in a small town...all intersting places that i wouldnt have thought of i used the hospital one on my way to michigan

Im probably about to move to MN, all I know is that its going to snow everyday. So I'll have to get my tow hooks on, (to pull others out of course) From what I hear its mostly flat, I have been there a couple of times around the twin cities and chanhassen mostly. I didnt see any hills, that was very said. I have some real obstacles/goals for my cherokee in SC.
