21.8 miles today on a bike trail. Total time was 1 hr 21mins. It was my first time and last time on that trail. By the time you get into a comfortable groove you were at a stop sign and had to wait for traffic which gave me good practice at clipping back in while in a hurry to not get run over. It was nice however to be away from a road and not worry about cars getting close to you. Next weekend if the weather holds out will be a 72mile ride.

I wan't to do 20 miles today, but the route I took work out like I thought it would and I didn't want to back track.

72 mile ride? Is it a charity thing, race or just for the heck of it?

Just for the heck of it. I'm riding down to fair oaks farm and back.

If you ever head out to the dunes state park bring your bike and ride the calumet trail. Supposed to be a pretty good trail (its just a gravel trail that runs 18 miles round trip http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calumet_Trail )

The "my tracks" app is pretty cool, I haven't used mapmyride, so I can't say if it's better or not. I like how you can play your ride back on google earth and see where you went...it's pretty cool.

Today's bike ride: 20.16 miles, time: 1:33:38, avg speed: 12.92 mph, max speed: 24.07 mph, max grade: 10.1%.....it seems as if the entire ride was up hill.

10.98 miles today. Average speed 15.3 mph 42 mins 44 seconds. Would have went further but didn't leave home until 745 and it was starting to get dark out and i hate riding in the dark.

110 heat index on Thursday! FML! I'm probably not going to ride then. Friday looks to be back in the 80's at least.

I'm trying to plan a weekend ride somewhere and camp for a night and ride back. Im thinking 60-70 miles each way but when i am leaving my wife will be out of town so she won't be able to come bail me out if I pass out along side a road.

I'm thinking 5am rides are coming up, instead of 5pm rides.

5 am no longer exists in my world. If i did a 5 am ride I would just ride the 25 miles to work and then i would have to ride home which wouldn't be a bad idea but i don't think my office would appreciate seeing me in spandex shorts all day lol

No spandex! I'm up at 5am every morning doing P90X, which is almost over, so I may switch to morning rides. I just have to walk out my front door @ 8am and I'm working.

I need all the aerodynamicy (spelling if that is even a word) I can get lol. Plus my seat isnt very comfy so the pads in them help some.

I have a gell pad on my seat, but I still want some *** padding....but I think I'll opt of the MTB shorts, where the spandex is hidden under the shorts.
