repairing side rear window on soft top
some stitching on the rear side window is coming off any idea how to fix. the top is pretty think for a needle.

I've repaired the seems in one of my old tops. I went to hobby lobby and picked up a really thick needle, I think its used for crochet (sp?) or something like that. I then bought some really thick matching thread, (I think its used for the same thing) and sewed it by hand. I needed the help of pliers, especially to get through the thick parts with many layers, (I repaired the seems over the doors that attach the top to the plastic piece that slips into the door surrounds) and it turned out pretty good.

You can actually use a regular sewing machine to fix it. My wife sewed my old top numerous times including sewing the material back to the plastic piece that hooks in the windshield channel with a regular sewing machine.
