I actually pay more income tax here than I did in the UK, but the cost of everything back home is so bloody expensive that I still have a lot more disposable income here than I would there.

That said, whilst I wouldn't take anything in the Daily Mail (or the Guardian) at face value, the politically correct nature of the UK is really quite depressing, freedom of speech takes a distant second to making sure you don't offend anyone, and it's something that is going to come to a head sooner or later.

Its getting so bad in the world now. Fathers reporting their own sons about possessing a gun. When you can't pick and choose who you hire. That is the kind of state the liberals are lining us up to be. Take away gun rights and then just whittle away at the rest.

I wonder if a few European countries will have miniature revolutions, and get rid of their muslim population. Denmark is one that is going to hurt bad if they don't do anything about it. England is already hurting. Germany is next.

This whole situation reminds me of a movie I watched about East Germany called "The Promise" where the main character's father turns him in for trying to escape to the west.

When will people stop accepting the liberal straight jacket that they're being forced to be confined to to allow those who have nothing in common with them to continue to rape and bleed them of any rights?

This is why people are so concerned with our immigrant situation here. Europe is not alone. They pay such high taxes to pay for Social Services for drug addicts and immigrants and otherwise worthless(ie. The Dole) Sound Familiar.

Have you even lived there? They definitely aren't miserable. Beyond that, nothing can be worse than the taxes in CA. Not for their amount, but the things we pay taxes on.

I remember reading an article a few months ago about how the evil British police were using "dum-dum rounds" (I assume they meant hollowpoints) and the number of comments from people that were outraged by this for some reason. Ummm, if you're going to shoot people, shouldn't you use the best round for the job? It really saddens me to see what was one of the greatest countries on earth just 60 years ago reduced to a bunch of crying babies who are mostly scared to take care of themselves or scared of those who "dare" to. Make no mistake about it, the UK is the barometer for us to watch to see where we're going to be in 50-100 years.

Well, after living in California, I'd say you've been well prepped. Maybe the Union should secede from California? Kind of like emancipating an insolent teenager. Better for them, better for us. The rest of the US is not like CA (WA is getting close however in certain regards).

What direction do you think Obama and Hillary want to take us? More social programs, extreme gun control to gun prohibition. Pretty soon your father will be reporting you for having your own opinion and thoughts... They've become reliant on the state for everything, and in turn, they've given up all of their freedoms and liberties. Ben Franklin said "If you give up freedoms for security, you deserve neither."

Europe is a messed up place and allowing the muslims to burrow into their societies has only made it worse. Europe is becoming the middle east and becoming overrun with people not of European descent. They will lose their autonomy and rights if they become too heavily populated with the muslims.

Do you think that there might be a pogrom against the muslims if things get out of hand? Something has to give, and the English population can only bend over so far. Each country is losing it's self image as a country due to the mixing and mingling of foreigners there. Really sad.
