Relay for Life

Hey guys,

I thought I might post something here for Relay for Life.

Like many of us, my life has been affected by cancer. Personally, my mother had brain cancer when I was in 6th grade. She dodged a bullet, and I'm very grateful for that.

Anyways, I'm walking for an hour on Friday 4/24 and if you guys want to, I'd appreciate it if you would donate to the Relay for Life foundation. If not, thanks for looking.

Here's a link:

You can donate to help me reach my goal of $250 or so, or you can donate to the foundation.

Thanks for looking again.

Zach

Good for you. I've been walking for a few years now. Unfortunately I already donated my spare funds to my goal. Good luck reaching yours!

I just got done doing a relay for life last friday night. It was my first ever. You say your only going to walk for an hour? Believe me, once your there you'll change your mind.

My team said we were going to do shifts too but everyone ended up walking way more than our 'shift'. It was a great event, fun yet still emotional and very serious.

My sister organizes a HUGE group for this every year, towards the end of summer.

The wife and I are running the Komen Race for the Cure 5K this Saturday morning. I'm trying for 30 min. this time. I'm not optimistic, but, while I was stationed in Ft.Bliss, we did a Battalion run of 4 mi. in 36 minutes, and if you know ANYTHING about a run with that big of a group, then you are aware of the accordian effect.
I like to think I could MAYBE keep a 10 min./mile pace for 3 miles. *gulp*

Never had the chance to do this before, so I might very well change my mind. Thanks for the comment/encouragement.
