The Reason Why Young People Just Don't Get It...Ala Craig Ferguson.

Everyone over the age of 30 will love this clip. Everyone under the age of 30 will not understand it. Gen Yers have no clue...

Brilliance.

The Pioneer plaque has been updated accordingly. I'm not exactly sure what the new symbols in place of the hyperfine transition are supposed to be though.

He always comes up with great stuff like that. He's actually a pretty deap thinker and he has a really great way of presenting it so everyone laughs. He is a funny guy, but the irony of his bit is that a large portion of his viewing audience is made up of the people he's talking about.

Whats makes me sad is he makes alot of sence.

I'm worried about my generation, there are alot more VERY common sence lacking people. they buy a new Iphone or Video Game, and them whine when they dont have money for gas or paying for a car.

and alot of people dont seem to understand money too well. I have people tell me to buy a small car so i can afford more gas, they dont get it when i tell them, i'm paying less per month for my truck at 10mpg than they are for their newer cars, my insurance is most likly lower, and i dont have a car payment. Or they whine about how crappy the car their parents gave them is. I'm damn glad my dad gave me my truck. it gives me a vehicle and it was free. One of my freinds wants too buy a different car, you know what his reason is?? he hates driveing a manual and wants an Auto trans.

Hes funny, I can actually stand to watch his nite show. The generations themselves are getting worse. Little kids now if you catch them ****ing around, They cuss at you and them if they parents do come, They think they POS kid is an angel. I'm sorry, But i cant hit a kid, But will teach the dad a lesson in common sense and courtesy. Too many lowlifes living on the government tit anymore.

Just last week, In IL a mother decided to go and cause baby momma drama with her ex, She ended up running over her two year old daughter and she didn't make it. They haven't pursued any criminal matters or anything of that nature. Kinda like **** happens, New day

Just cant believe that. One, The parents didn't question wheres my 2 year old? Two, the way she was hit Stevie wonder Would have avoided this accident. Guess them have them to get a bigger check and could care less to raise them. I have been reading alot of that lately across the country. If you had them take care of them, But i guess they look at them as dogs and "when they have time" parents/owners. Sorry for the rant.

I don't understand why everyone was laughing. It wasn't funny. Just thought provoking. Looks like another case of "Because it is coming out of his mouth and he is a late night talk show comedy host we must laugh." No. Don't laugh at stuff that isn't funny just because you think you are supposed to. Social brainwashing.

I understand what he was saying (i'm 19) and i agree somewhat...but it wasnt funny at all. Just a studio audience that was told to laugh when the laugh sign came up.

The things that makes me laugh about this. 1. When someone says that youth is a problem and that they are stupid. The parents are the ones who raised them and these people were raised by other parents. So if you are going to say the youth are a problem better look at yourself first. Did you raise any children? If you did then you should realize that if you are complaining, that your part of the social problem. Most likely any of us on this forum were not raised by ourselves and our kids have not raised themselves. So where does that leave us? If you think the kids are a problem then its your fault just as much as anyone else. 2. If you are going to knock the kids of America for being dumb please spell your words correctly or at least have the common sense that they do and use spell check. We may see that the kids of America are unexperienced but that being said most adults I know are not real experienced either. Matter of fact many 30 and older people I know are not real bright. They cannot spell, are not very good at math, they lack computer skills, their social skills are not that great, and most of them are broke because they made bad decisions and don't know how to manage their money. So before we go off and talk about how bad the kids of the world are what about us? We have just as much responsibility for the "problem" as they do. I often hear this and it drives me nuts. Its not about being smart or dumb, young or old its about skill sets and learning, something many "adults" refuse to do. Watch your kids they know many things that you do not, I guarantee that. They may not know everything but every young person from a very young age and up is able to do one thing that a large number of "adults" cannot. What they lack in knowledge the make up for in Googling skills. The good old days when kids were taught right. Well you must not have been taught that well, you did pass these teachings on to your kids right? If you look back at yourself you will probably see that you were just as dumb as the youth you see today.

I think, mosshopper, that the point of his rant is that this hasn't been happening just in the latest generation, but since the 60's when advertising execs decided to target a younger demographic. Thus, all of the glorification of youth, selfishness of parents and focus of the media has led us to where we are today. In a society that values youth more than experience. You can see it in the way we treat our elderly. Up until 50 years ago our parents lived with us until they died, imparting their life experiences and and helping to raise children. We don't have that now. Now as soon as our parents start stumbling, or forgetting their keys we ship them off to a home because we just don't have the time to deal with them.

So its not just the kids today, but essentially all of us that have allowed this to happen. As I see it.
