IMHO, if, when asked what kind of car your have, you reply, "Jeep" that means you have a vehicle with a soft top or removable hard top that is either a CJ or a Wrangler. Any other Jeep requires the addition of it's model name, such as 'Jeep Cherokee.'
Better watch it or some good ol boy in his solid hunk of steel called a Wagoneer or "J" series truck truck is gonna shove your toy over the side of a cliff. And since when were Wranglers "real" jeeps?

Well, I'm surprised it took this long for someone to come in here with the "what a REAL Jeep is" garbage. Grow up, or take that crap to a thread dedicated to beating that dead horse if you can't.

If it doesn't say Willys, it's not at Jeep. Kaisers are for clowns.

My wagon is more capable than most wranglers out there's can seat four in comfort, with luggage and two double rifle cases six hand gun cases three full ammo cans and two cases of beer. I also think there was a bag of chips packed in there somewhere.

Well, this thread has run its course--not that it was a very important topic to begin with, but if it's just going to be the same, old pissing contest about "real" Jeeps, I've lost interest. I got some amusement from the shared stories, though.

I'm not saying your station wagon isn't a real Jeep, or that it isn't capable off-road. I'm just saying that if you identify your vehicle solely as a 'Jeep' then that's the kind with the removable top. Any other Jeep should also have it's model identified as in Jeep Cherokee or Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

Before I had my CJ I had an old SJ Cherokee, and it was great off-road anywhere it would fit.

How is that racist? When I see a cherokee I see a cherokee. I don't segregate them into grand cherokee and cherokee. That's just not right. (And too much to process all at once)

As I see it I should be a Jeep Civil rights activist.

There is a reason they have different names...

Is it broken?

Jeeps are like college girls, they are all individuals and fun in their own way.
